On November 1, 1922, the Ottoman Empire, one of the most extended and enduring in history (it lasted more than six centuries) was abolished and republican Turkey was born.

The Einaudi Foundation suggests some recent volumes held by its Library on the history of the Ottoman Empire and modern Turkey.
