70 years since Benedetto Croce's death

The relationship between Benedetto Croce and Luigi Einaudi, which evolved over time into a friendship, 'lasted half a century, and nothing could shake it. Certainly not the so-called theoretical dispute between liberalism and liberalism, which was not a dispute, but a discussion between two friends, each of whom appreciated the ideas developed by the other' (Roberto Einaudi, “Einaudi e Croce. Ricordi e affinità”, 2022). 

This relationship is reflected in what is kept in our library: 381 books by Benedetto Croce plus 271 volumes about him. Correspondence with Luigi Einaudi is kept in the archive: 60 letters from Croce to Einaudi and 64 letters from Einaudi to Croce.
